Luxurious and delicious breakfast or brunch that can be easily heated up in the Omnia mold. Top with sliced apples before reheating, and a dollop of crème fraîche when it’s done. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

This recipe has been adapted to be prepared in the Omnia foil mold in a regular oven at home. Afterwards, the food can be frozen or chilled and then reheated in the Omnia mold. Heat on a low heat until the food is heated through.

Ingredients

8 slices white bread, such as toasting bread
6 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
½ tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Sugar and cinnamon for serving

Method

  1. Set the oven to 400°F. Halve each slice of bread and place on a baking sheet or plate.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and spices. Pour the mixture over the bread. Turn the bread in the egg mixture and leave to stand for about an hour.
  3. Layer the bread slices in the foil mold. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes until golden. Take out and allow to cool.

Serving suggestion: sliced apple and whipped crème fraîche

When the slices of bread are ready and have cooled, they can be easily frozen in the foil mold and then reheated in the Omnia mold. Slice some apples and add on top of the baked bread when you reheat in the Omnia mold.
