Brunch, lunch, or dinner? Whatever meal you’ve got planned, a filling and tasty pancake is always a good choice! Prepare at home and easily reheat in the Omnia mold wherever you are. Serve with lingonberry jam and freshly grated carrots.

This recipe has been adapted to be prepared in the Omnia foil mold in a regular oven at home. Afterwards, the food can be frozen or chilled and then reheated in the Omnia mold. Heat on a low heat until the food is heated through.

Ingredients

10 oz spicy sausage, such as chorizo or kolbasz
4 eggs
3 cups milk
1 ½ cups wheat flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
4 oz grated, punchy cheese
Oil for the foil mold

Method

  1. Set the oven to 400°F. Brush the foil mold with oil. Slice the sausage and brown in a little oil in a frying pan until nicely fried. Transfer to the foil mold.
  2. Beat the eggs in a bowl. Add half of the milk and all the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk in the flour to make a smooth batter with no lumps. Pour in the rest of the milk and whisk the batter until smooth. Mix in the grated cheese. Pour into the foil mold. Bake in the middle of the oven for 30-40 minutes until it takes on a nice color.

Serving suggestion: freshly grated carrots and lingonberry jam

When the pancake is ready and has cooled, it can be easily frozen in the foil mold and then reheated in the Omnia mold.
